The Astrology of Drake

Long overdue! I had to take some time to myself. A lot of changes have happened in my life. Let’s get into the astrology of Drake tho. Many of you have seen me talk about him specifically if you’ve seen me on Clubhouse or on Twitter before my suspended what I covered. This guy has a very interesting astrological background that has also later helped me strengthen some of my thoughts about Rahuvian energy.

Early Life

Let’s start with his birthplace. Toronto, the 6ix. Six is Venusian ruled in Numerology. We hear this tag as a drop on his music (Six, six, six) and that actually compliments his energy very well, as he is a Sidereal Libra Sun and Venus. The most interesting thing about how he got famous is that it was through social media specifically, MySpace! Drake is an Ardra Moon, which is also Rahuvian ruled. We can say Drake is pretty much an internet sensation, so him taking off on social media helped him build connections he made by transferring his online presence to the physical world. He was doing this during a time where many were trying to make it. Being in the digital world, especially being from Toronto, where there was no attention to the city back then, was huge! His connections brought him to where he is now. He made people want to live in Toronto, making it enjoyable, which is very Venus in nature. It really feels like it was his birthright to make the city as great as it feels for him. Sharing his home in his music.

Career Start

What is very interesting was when he turned 19 he went from pursuing an acting career, to a Music career. In minor periods in astrology, the Sun is activated at 19, establishing the identity. This is also how you want to shine, which is Solar ruled! His Sun is in Libra in the 3H, which is Venus ruled in an area of communication/the mind. So the change of mind was for his benefit anyway, because he was able to pursue things more creative, as his Venus is also in this house. Swati energy puts things on the map for him, because that was a critical moment of knowing exactly what he wants to do with this energy. He officially jump started his career at 20. This is also when you have your 9H profected year, which I always consider the 9H of revelations if you ever feel like you’re in a dark place coming from the 8H. This is also when the Sun is in its Joy as far as planetary joys in houses.

He got discovered by MySpace, which is fitting astrologically. He is a Swati sun, and what I’ve been saying by Rahu, rules over technology. This is very similar to how Soulja Boy made YouTube poppin and was around when music on the digital age was getting started. Soulja Boy is a Ardra Sun, which is also Rahuvian ruled. Drake is also a Ardra Moon so this adds to him always being everywhere in the digital age, which we will get into later in the article. He got signed by Wayne during his 11H profected year, in which he has his Ardra Moon there. This was the year he dropped So Far Gone, and when “Best I Ever Had” showcasing his duality of Rapping and Singing, which is most definitely Gemini in nature. He dropped this during a time where the transitioning Rahu was directly conjunct his Mars, which is very cool because his Mars is in the 6H, where it is in its joy and performs very well. This brought things full circle, and shows that his hard work (Mars), paid off! “Successful”, the single, was also released during this time, so it makes sense with Capricorns wanting to be successful with everything they do.

Side Note: Guess who else is an Ardra person who founded in the tech world? Soulja Boy! He’s an Ardra Sun!

Thank Me Later

During the Thank Me Later Era he mentions how this was his moment where he felt like he needed to step up because Wayne was in jail. Drake has a Leo rising and was going through his 12H profected year. I mention that people are usually in hospitals during this time, this was a time where he had to get surgery. Drake got surgery when he tore 3 knee ligaments on stage. So when he said “Off from surgery now I’m back again”, this is the 12H energy I’m speaking on.

12H rules over isolated spaces as well, so Wayne going to Jail has 12H impact because of the 12H representing isolated/confined spaces. Leo Mars being in his 1H shows that he had to step up to the plate and really get on his boss shit. These placements were in Ketu as far as this Mars and his ASC. This represents gaining the wisdom from elders/mentors in order to move through life. This albums chart has Mars in Drakes 1H, which shows that when Wayne said “But fuck it I ain’t tripping I know Drizzy gon kill em” is a nice pass on of a torch.

Drake had to step up and hold down Young Money. Mars was that trade off of strength he needed to bring home a number one album that sold 450,000 copies its first week. This is how you harness the power of a 12H year. You step up to the plate and show people what you’re made of. Wayne came back to a successful man as Drake sold $8 million in 3 months on tour, and went Numer one bus first week as well.

Take Care

Take Care was a very interesting album astrologically. It was such a pivotal moment in his life, and I’ll explain why. This album was released during his 2H year with Ketu residing here. I know we are speaking on Ketu quite a bit, but learning how Drake alchemizing this energy is important, as it is Rahu’s polar opposite. The reason why Ketu was the reason is because Ketu brings about original thought. I talk about in the Ketu article that many people who are Ketu ruled seem to have lost their minds, and this was the case with Drake. This was a time where people were like “WTF” bc he was crying and shit and it was considered Emo Rap. This was a very different time. In Ketu fashion, this birthed the sound of singing and rapping with the gloomy landscape he described his music was intended to sound. It was supposed to sound like Toronto: Dark and cloudy. This fits the landscape of his Ketu, as well as his Scorpio Mars and Saturn, giving those gloomy undertones. Him commodifying this falls under his Rahu 8H, which means taking something dark, and putting energy into it. This is why he’s known as emo (♏️) and emotional (♓️)and profits (Rahu) off of being sensitive (♓️). His Ketu is Martian ruled, and is represented by Tvastar, the fashioner! Because of using his Ketu correctly to craft and refine a specific lane for himself, it was his most profitable tour of that time, selling 42 million.

A great example of “Ketu energy going wrong” is when Kid Cudi dropped Speeding Bullet 2 Heaven and how poorly it did in reception. It received generally negative reviews unfortunately. I personally couldn’t even listen to it. He was having an 8H profected year, BUT the ruler of this house is ruled by his Venus in a Ketu ruled Nakshatra. So again, Ketu is the make or break of your art (Venus) or whatever you’re trying to put out. Make sure it’s original, has longevity, and will be something people will like! But it really doesn’t matter in retrospect. If you like it, that’s all that matters, but it doesn’t mean others will!

Virgo is an emotional counterpart to Pisces. Though the energy isn’t emotional, the sign speaks with emotion. It is also a mutable sign, which is fluid in energy. Adaptable and sensory is what Mercury is. It is neutral after all and takes on the energy it is paired with. The ruler of his 2H is ruled by a Scorpio Mercury, that is Martian ruled like his Chitra Ketu. Having a Mars ruled Ketu adds to why his first single went to the lines of “Fuck that nigga that you love so bad, I hope you still think about the times we had” whilst being emotional and emo. Virgo and Scorpio are also two peas in a pod. One tail is tucked ♍️, the other tail is out ♏️ in their symbols. The 2H rules over finances, so it makes sense as to why this was also his most profitable tour of that time. This was also the time he started signing people to OVO and making Merch, as the 2H rules over assets/investments, which can be clothes or people! This is also his own Label that he started from the ground (Ketu roots) up!

This album was also emotional but to add to it, it was dropped during his lunar return 😭

Also, when he said “Is it the fall, time for me to revisit the past” in HYFR this is an homage in a way to Ketu, which rules over past. This is the Ketu Nature of going back to the past to understand the current, and possibly, the future.

YOLO becoming a tag line that is representation of Ketu being apart of originality, the roots of something. When he said:

“What have you learned from getting richer

I know working with the negatives (Ketu) can make for better pictures

I learn Hennessy and enemies is on hell of a mixture

Even though it’s fucked up im still fucking with you damn”

On Take Care, the album was built on him revisiting his past experiences in life, which again is very Ketu in Nature.

Nothing Was The Same

Now there’s a reason why he was memed so much during 2013. He was having his 3H profected year which is all social in nature. This is why the “Drake Lean” was making its rounds in 2013, and why everyone was duping the Album Cover a LOT. His Album Artwork (Venus 3H) is constantly memed, even on Views! Reason why Drake is so memeable is because of his 3H stellium, which is social media ruled. He was also having his Venus return, so this is probably why he considers this his favorite project to date, and what I consider his Magnum Opus. He may also love it so much because not only was he having his Venus return, but his Venus was activated during this 3H profected year!

He also didn’t feel the need to put a lot of songs on the album, which fits the transitioning Saturn on his Sun, which subdues and refines the Rahuvian energy, which made this album what he considers more concise. Which I agree with. My fav album by him and all! Also an album that aged well because of the Sun and Mercury in his 2H, which again symbolizes investments. This also solidified him as a force in the game, earning respect from fans for his more hip hop sound, while staying true to who he is.

IYRTITL

When Hotline Bling came out, this was his 5H profected year, in which your art can take a life of its own. This is why Hotline Bling was EVERYWHERE. This is because he has Jupiter rx in Shatabhisha, this houses ruler. This is again where Rahu energy can drive something up. The reason why Drake has a billion views on that video. Lots of ambient, pastel light as well that brings on a feeling of relaxation. This is why this song and beat brings on a feeling of a sort of hypnotic relaxation. This is also because of Jupiter in traditional and Neptune in modern representing Pisces, which is his Rahu. This contributes to how Hotline Bling inflated.

This 5H energy was most definitely the case because this was the same profected he had been accused of using a ghost writer. Remember how I say that the 5H can take a life of its own based on your creativity, well, this is what happened to his music. This is where art doesn’t become your own anymore. This was because illusions (Neptune) of who Drake is tends to make a life of its own through his creativity (5H), which is his music. This created the outlier as well because Jupiter is in the 7H, which is the house of partnership, but also known enemies. This is why the issue with Meek Mill took a jab at his career. The Jupiter rx also represents an “undo” of fortune if he didn’t have security within himself, which we will get into towards the end. IYRTITL was an album where he said “I got enemies (7H) got lot of enemies (7H), got a lot of people trying to drain me of my energy (Sun).” Since he has a solid Sun sign in the 3H, this most definitely a try that didn’t succeed.

Also Hotline Bling did so well because his Jupiter ruler is in the Nakshatra of Shatabhisha. Remember I keep saying that Rahu is tech ruled and this song and album followed that theme (Star67 and the phone call segments). Also, How Bout Now was released during this time so the voicemail thing is very fitting. He loves adding call segments because of his Rahu rulership tbh. He really made that pop.

More Life

He took his first break from music in which he dropped off the charts after a 431 week reign of being on Billboard. This was during his Saturn return, and y’all know how that goes! He considered More Life to be an impromptu, a preparation for Scorpion basically. This was during his 7H profected year. Now, remember what I said about his Meek diss because that’ll be very important for this section of the article. He sent out a shot at Pusha T saying he wasn’t a real dope dealer during his activated house of enemies, and this started the trickle effect of his controversies (blackface/“hiding” his son) he had to account for the next year during his 8H profected year. The 8H is all about payback and repaying a debt. The 8H is also about horrors being put on the mainline from my interpretation, as the 8H is pretty high in the in the side of Day on a chart wheel. I’ll tell y’all why that with this 8H, and what’s within it, why this also went away as quickly as it appeared.

Scorpion

So this era is the exact reason why this 8H undoed the 7H quickly. This man had an album coming up during this haywire. His Rahu activated during this time, so this highlighted some of the exposing from Pusha T. BUT this was also the time he released God’s Plan and Nice for What. God’s Plan is sitting at over a Billion views, similar to Hotline Bling where Rahu was being activated by Neptune ruling his 8H in Modern Astrology. Now that this is the actual 8H year, we are getting a glimpse of this Rahuvian energy at its MAGNITUDE. This is why this stuff never stopped his career. Rahu has a way of only really feeding what you pay attention to. Drake paid more attention to what he wanted to feed, was his project. So, Rahu diverted this attention to what he cared about. He’s the ruler of his own chart. He said this was a high volume album, and that makes sense, because it was extra long! People commented on how long it was and tbh I felt like it could’ve been shorter, but I get what he was tryna do. This is also Rahuvian, doing the absolute most and taking it to the max. This is what brings me to another Rahuvian topic of his.

His secret child was also exposed because of Pluto rx in his 5H. The 5H is the house of your first child, and Pluto represents something being exposed. Pluto moves slow so Pluto has been in his house for awhile. Pusha T said 40 apparently leaked the info with a side chick. Whether or not that’s true it still plays on the energy of the Mercury that was in Gemini opposing Pluto when this story was told.

Drake’s House

If you remember when I was on Twitter I mentioned about how his big house with an overwhelming amount of decor is so Rahuvian. Tupac even plays when you lift the toilets 😭. He built his house over Toronto parameters, walls and the home itself. He even had to spend an extra million on Hedges because his walls around his home blocked their view. I also mentioned on Twitter that his orgones help with not only EMF, but transmute that extra Rahuvian energy. This makes sense because EMF is frequencies that primarily come from radio waves that can cause migraines, and Rahu represents the head. To not get ahead of himself, Drake can use orgones to neutralize how much energy he is outputting. I mean, the body is a conductor as well!

2/14/2022: So even with what I said about Orgones is something that I should mention and just realized. Based on what I said earlier that I said Rahu is the internet, Orgones are used to neutralize extra hz from computers to further clarify. So again Rahuvians this is good to use on the body when you feel extra wired.

Also Kanye’s home is a contrast to his house as he is Ketu dominant. The Kanye article and Kanye and Drake beef article is coming very soon so stay tuned!

Drake’s Style

The heart cut he gets in his head and his album coming up called “Certified Lover Boy” that represent his Venusian Sun and Venus in his domicile. You’ll notice that Venus ruled people usually love Heart patterns and designs. This also explains the memes of Drake being super feminine as well and saying he likes to “shimmy in mist after he sprays it” and etc.

Biting aka Copying

The reason why Drake is known for copying and stealing is because Rahu is a consumer. If you read my article about Rahu (https://www.taisoleil.com/articles/2020/12/25/bb6zv75860blfx8nrbibj8z8ocjcfv) you’ll see that I compared Rahu energy to Kirby because they’re similar to Rahu. Kirby learns through assimilation. This is why he was such a Clipse fan and learned so much about the art of rap through imitation in his early career. As far as him explaining it when it comes to his style changing, I can agree with him and say that he really does put a style on the map and give them credit. He likes new music and give artists an opportunity to shine! I said this in this tweet thread but since I’m suspended I can’t pull it up :/

As far as his label goes with Abel and PND. Abel has mentioned that he wrote basically all of Take Care that was supposed to be focused on his album. The Weeknd is also Rahuvian, so, he noticed this happening. When he branched off, this is also why he is also one of the top artists we cannot escape on the radio/social media when he drops a project! Rahu is veryyyy magnetizing.

Rest of his 2019 interview

Fun fact: This interview (Mercury) was during his 10H profected year at his home (4H is the 10H opposite). He has a Mercury opposite his MC and he was reflecting on his Career (MC/10H energy)

He also learned to Manifest which comes from the power of Rahu. To manifest his house he said he spoke it into existence, which falls a lot in line with how Rahu operates. For example, remember when Doja Cat said “I’m gonna get Corona and get a Corona (Beer)” as a joke and got COVID? Well, Doja has a Rahu ruled Mercury 🥴 Rahu placements, be careful what you speak on!

Drake also said in his music that he likes to maintain interest in his Music (Rahu). He tries to find Balance (Libra Sun) and knows how to split apart the singing from the rapping (Gemini Moon energy). Gemini rules over things being split if you didn’t know.

Update 8/10/2022: Also in 6 Man he said “I am in the Matrix and I just took the blue pill” is so funny bc the blue pill represents the matrix reality and Rahu is the controller of the false reality. Also with 6 being Venus, Venus taught Rahu what they know. Drake is a true Rahuvian.

Conclusion
