The 8H of Sextrology

I covered this in a tweet but people be like “The 8H is too terrible for it to be counted as the house of sex” and the only thing I agree with is it’s not the ONLY house of sex. The 8H will play a role in sex regardless of peoples feelings about it. The ignorance further perpetuates that the 8H is a “bad” house, making 8Hers feel further fated than what this house is. Let’s talk about it another facet of sex in astrology.

Let’s talk about one of the goddesses of Parvati that often gets overlooked when we are talking about the facets of her. We talk about Kali, but we never really talk about the other parts of her that make the Mahavidyas, Chinnamasta! This is the one who cut off her own head to feed her close ones, Dakini and Varnini whilst a couple have sex underneath her. This is the energy that explains how sex can be renewing, and deals with the sacrificial nature that sex can be. It also deals with the sacrifice (8H) in order to nourish (2H which is that of rewards). Le Petit Morte is a saying in French that means The Little Death which is a reference to an orgasm. This is because when you have an orgasm, parts of your brain shut down, almost like you’re dying in some way. Sex is the plane between life and death in a way because of this. When it comes to sex as well, you can find trauma in your womb! No other house can handle this energy but the “terrible houses” of the 4H/8H/12H. Since the 8H is closer to the top of the chart, sex is the gateway to finding out a lot about what your blockages are so you can move into the 9H, which I consider the house of enlightenment.
